What you see above are two of the newest models in Dodge's Mexican lineup, the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (above) and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (below).

The Vision replaces the i10, a rebadged Hyundai of the same name, and is a rebadged version of the Brazilian built Fiat Grand Siena.

The Attitude replaces the rebadged Hyundai Accent that previously used the nameplate, and is a rebadged version of the Mitsubishi Attrage (Mirage sedan) which is built in Thailand.

These are the latest examples of FCAs use of Fiat models for their North American brands, following the release of the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (a rebadged Fiat Strada), along with furthering the company's connection with Mitsubishi Motors, who's Mexican market page is now included as a link at the bottom of all FCA brand pages for the Mexican Market.

This also means that the Grand Siena and Strada are not sold as Fiats in Mexico, and the Attrage is not sold as a Mitsubishi in Mexico (the Mirage hatchback is, though).

You learn something new everyday.

Both of these are likely bad...though I actually like the Attrage body with the Dodge crosshair grille.

It actually works, especially considering this is what the normal Attrage grille looks like...

Why don't they sell them up here? We need more affordable low-priced new cars.

Well, the Vision/Grand Siena is a really cheap Brazilian built car that likely won't even be close to meeting US safety and emissions standards, and the Attitude...I think Mitsubishi is planning to sell the Attrage in the US under their own marque instead of an FCA one, based off the fact that it's hatchback relative, the Mirage, is actually selling pretty decently in the US, and the fact that Dodge wants to be seen as the performance brand in the US, not mainstream..that would likely mean that if it was to be sold in the US as a FCA product...Chrysler 50?

I'm surprised they even bothered putting "Dodge" lettering on the trunk lid.

I've never seen the Ram 700 before. I'd drive one.

It's not the only one, either.

Kinja'd!!!

This is the Vision's predecessor, the i10 by Dodge.

Kinja'd!!!

And this is the Dodge Verna, predecessor to the Attitude.

Plus, Dodge also sold Hyundai's H100 van with the Dodge name (and for a couple years as a RAM), though it was still wearing Hyundai badges.

Now, this has all changed, with Hyundai having entered the Mexican market independently , and Kia likely to follow, since they're in the process of having a plant built there.

tl;dr: Chrysler is a fucking mess here in Mexico, but it somehow works for them and people actually end up buying these kind of cars, because they want a small Dodge/RAM and don't care or don't know that it's not an actual Dodge/RAM

Dodge and Hyundai had a partnership since Dodge needed cheap cars for Mexicans. Since Hyundai decided to bring their whole lineup, the pact with Dodge was over which meant Dodge needed a small car pronto. The Mitsubishi Mirage sedan fit the bill, and I have started seeing them in the streets. The Mirage steering wheel with Dodge logo looks ridiculous.
